Update

I have the page for phase 2, I just need to find the time to make it look pretty. So that is coming soon, I promise!

Also, I found this blog that was kinda cool (I liked seeing where I can get certain vitamins from foods):

I don't have much of an update. I don't have any magic new recipes, but I am really doing well with alternating the ones we've been sharing. And I eat a ton of spinach. Every one in my house is sick. I am not. I thank the diet!!

Down some pounds, which is good. But I have a really long torso. So if I lose too much weight without toning up, I start to look like a skinny teenager (bye bye boobs). So I need to start buffing up, stat! I have a big hiking trip coming up in two months, and I have to break in my new hiking boots. I moved the treadmill back inside from it's dusty spot in the garage. So I've been walking in my hiking boots on the treadmill. 2 birds, right?

What exercise regimens are your faves?? Like Emily, I really enjoy Tracy Anderson, but she's a serious time commitment. (Sorry, Gwyneth Paltrow, I just DO NOT have an hour for myself, no matter how much you insist that I do. 30 minutes, maybe, but not 60.) I also like my belly dance video, but don't tell anyone. Good thing this blog is private... Ha!

  1. i need to find something i love to work out!! i got the groupon to try 10 classes of cardiobarre, so we will see if that works for me. I may also just set up continuous play on my "Michael jackson experience" or just dance 2 on the wii, b/c dancing like that tires me out!! and it's fun. I do have an elliptical, i just need to commit i guess :-).

Lyndsay and emily, do you both drink the entire 17 oz of muscle milk when you drink it? i wish i had checked my dr's shake mix before it got chucked to see if it is high in protein.... this muscle milk is freakin' good! I just need to check on how good it is for you...do you know any info on that?

  2. Kirsten, The Muscle Milk Light from Costco comes in 8.25oz sizes with little straws. We drink that whole serving. It gets me through to the next meal, and I am losing weight, so it must be doing it's thing. Here's the link to their site, only they are talking about the larger size. Costco is the only place I've found the smaller shakes. When I get one at the gas station or Walgreens, they are double the size, and feels like a bit much:

  3. yeah, drink half the gas station size or just the costco one. Target has a 4 pack of muscle milk lite and there is a NO SUGAR ADDED one so the sugar is zero instead of like 3 grams. pretty freakin yummy.

lyndsay, what are you doing with spinach. have a big bag, sauteed it and it was fine but what else?

  4. Emily—
I am eating a spinach salad once a day (from past recipes I posted, but avocado, tomato, and cucumber is great, too). I also put spinach in my egg white omelette. My omelettes are starting to look like I am a gourmet chef because I've been making them every day for 2.5 weeks. Ha! I put spinach, tomatoes, and baby portobellos in mine. Pretty yummy with grapefruit on the side.

  6. sean spencer and alli put some spinach into their fruit smoothie in the morning. they say you can't taste it with all the other stuff you are putting in there! I think i will give it a shot blended with my fage, ice, a tad water, protein powder, strawberries, blackberries, and a tiny bit of stevia.
