the pit of despair..... cough cough cough

holy crap.  yesterday was baaaaaaaaad.

i woke up really stiff and with a fuzzy headache.  i went and worked out but could only handle 1/2 hour on the bike and when i went to do ab work i just laid there on the mat staring at the ceiling.

on the whole, i ate well all day... until i hit the grocery store after school.

from about 5pm-1:30am i ate:  1/2 a loaf of sourdough bread with LOTS of butter, a tinfoil dinner loaded with potatoes and carrots and big slab of burger, a slice of turtle cheesecake, a coke, a full size chocolate bar, a chocolate chip cookie and 1/2 a piece of carrot cake as a night cap.

sheesh.

i am back on the train today.  i feel like a bum who has fallen off, but i am back on board.  just call me lou or reg or some other train bum name.

on an encouraging note, today was the day i needed to measure different places on my body.  i started doing this on march 3rd when i joined the gym.  i am happy to announce that since march 3rd, i have lost 9.5 inches!  i have only lost 7 pounds, so the weight loss isn't terribly significant, BUT my body does look different and clothes are fitting better.  that made me real happy today, so i shall forget about yesterday and focus on today {until i find that other piece of cheesecake in the back of the fridge}.  YOU DIDN'T JUST READ THAT.

  1. Such a good idea to take measurements! i haven't done that but it does give you sense of what you've been able to acheive, even if there was a spaz day. I kinda had a spaz weekend and then went back to the plan and feel much better this morning. its gonna happen. Good for you. Keep truckin', Lefty!! (super bumish, ya?)
