The good, the bad, and the ugly...plus some vitamins

Good news: I no longer feel hungry ten minutes after I eat, I'm in the groove, and I have started feeling full during meals. I can't stress enough how much I love the shake blended with ice. It's like a milkshake!

Bad news: Zero change in weight. I look exactly the same, and fit into my clothes in the same way, as well. I know it's been only one week. But I swear I looked like 4 months prego when I got out of the shower tonight. I sort of wanted to cry...

The ugly: My skin is FREAKING out. Seriously? Is some kind of cleanse going on here? That'd better be it, because I am not down with looking like a teenager again!

On a side note, here are the vitamins/supplements I try to take regularly (when I don't forget...which is shamefully often). Do you guys take anything? Please share!

• Nordic Naturals Effervescent: Best fish oil EVER. No fishy taste at all, scouts honor! And you get benefits of Omegas and the best source of Vitamin D aside from the sun (they have great kids fish oil soft gels that tastes yummy—my kids love them):
Omega-3 Effervescent

• Plus a women's multi-vitamin, aka Horse Pill. Still looking for one that doesn't smell like gym socks every time I open the bottle. Oh and I eat my kids' calcium gummies. Ha! I should probably take a grown-up version...

  1. you and emily are both having interactions that i had to beginning this diet! yes, your body is naturally detoxing, and a temporary breakout may occur. I also had the same problem as emily where i got really sick for about two days. I actually was throwing up like crazy!! my nutritionist told me that it isn't too common, but if it does occur, add a cup of oatmeal and an apple till it stops! it is the "carb shakes".
